Rule Number One: You may not use a single word an LLM suggests to you.

You want to use a good model as a copyeditor, not to write anything.

It’s crazy to me that an article about not using a single word from an LLM would use the term “load-bearing” without a clear hint of irony.

But that’s not normally what you’d do. You’d edit, rethink, and replace paragraphs. Those rethinks are load-bearing parts of your voice.

I feel like writing now requires some awareness of LLM-isms that you have to avoid even if they are original to your writing. I don’t think we should cede en-dashes, but I do feel that “load-bearing” is beyond saving.
